On the inner surface of the cap are rare plates of white or rusty brown. Depending on the age of the fungus, the color of the plates becomes darker and more saturated. This is due to the maturation of the spore powder. It is red-brown in color.

The leg of the summer honey agaric grows up to 8 cm in length, while remaining surprisingly thin, up to half a cm in diameter. Leg color is brown. It has a brown ring and scales below it.
