Using a knitting needle, twist two sheets of newspaper into a tube, secure the tip with glue. Turn the tube into a ring by gluing the edges.
Fold a few more sheets of newspaper into wide strips and glue them in half lengthwise separately. Wrap them around the ring, making a thick base for the wreath.
