How to make a wreath of artificial flowers with your own hands

This spring, wreaths and various hair ornaments with artificial flowers are popular. Such wreaths and decorations look very summery, and sometimes flowers are very difficult to distinguish from living ones. But such stylish accessories are not cheap. And, by the way, you can make them yourself, spending only on flowers.

In this article, we will show you how to make a wreath of artificial flowers with your own hands. Such a flower would look appropriate during various photo shoots, music festivals, picnics and other events that do not require business attire.

Materials and tools for making a wreath:

  • artificial flowers, leaves, and branches
  • metal shears or wire cutters
  • fabric-braided wire for making stems (optional)
  • green floral tape

How to make a stylish artificial flower wreath

As a basis for a wreath, you can use a wire in a fabric braid. You can do without such a wire, taking as a basis a flexible artificial twig. In this case, all you have to do is add flowers and leaves to make the wreath more magnificent.

Take an artificial bouquet and cut the flowers with scissors or wire cutters.

Advice: it is advisable to cut the flowers with part of the stem, so it will be easier to weave them into a wreath.

Take an artificial vine or flexible twig and wrap it around your head to find the right length. When measuring between the stem and the head, you need to lay two fingers. This will prevent the wreath from being small after adding flowers and leaves. Use pliers to cut the vine to the desired length, leaving allowances of a few centimeters.

Fold over the edges of the vines, wrap them tightly with green floral tape.

Continue wrapping the tape around the vine, attaching and braiding the prepared stemmed artificial flowers to it.

Wind the ribbon as you move forward and gradually weave the flowers and leaves into your wreath. The distance between the flowers and their order can be varied at your discretion.

Advance until you reach the point where you started winding the floral tape. The edge of the tape can simply be cut off. The beauty of floral tape is that its coils stick together. If you have used a different ribbon, or are worried that the floral ribbon may unravel, you can apply a dab of glue to the free end.

It should take you no more than 20 minutes to create a pretty wreath of artificial flowers. Now you have a cute spring/summer accessory.
