Easter wreaths with their own hands. Step by step photo tutorial

Meeting Easter, people try to fulfill all the traditions and collect all the attributes of the holiday, because everyone has a deep meaning. They bake delicious pancakes with Easter cakes and at the same time find out how to make an Easter wreath with their own hands, where you can hang it and what such wreaths mean.

Wreath as a symbol

Each item made especially for Easter is striking in its simplicity and meaning. For example, Easter eggs. Once Mary Magdalene took the ruler a few ordinary, white eggs as a gift when she went to tell him the wonderful news about the Resurrection of Christ. Vladyka then, having accepted the gift, used it as an example of his innocence, because he did not believe in the rumors: "as the eggs remain white, so the dead do not rise." In a moment, ordinary eggs turned red. That's why people dye eggs and it's the shades of red that are the most traditional.

What's a wreath? Its round or heart-shaped form has a closed structure, like an endless circle or cycle of life. Easter itself is considered the day of celebration when Life was able to defeat Death. The Resurrection of Christ has become that symbol of faith, that example for others that the spirit is immortal and any person does not leave without a trace.

Death is not a point, but just a door to something new. Therefore, the shape of the wreath repeats the statement about the eternity of the spirit and the cycle of life. And yes, it's a little reference to Christmas when wreaths are also used. They are usually hung either on the walls or above the door, on the gate, if the house is private.

Making wreaths has become a modern tradition, people want to decorate their homes more, filling Easter with warm, beautiful symbols. There are no rules for making the right wreath, you can use any materials at hand to make the Easter wreath with your own hands, photo, turned out to be beautiful, bright and even warm. Use bright, spring colors, because Easter is also a greeting to spring. Decorate with ribbons and bows, embroider with beads, glue toys - whatever your soul or fantasy desires!

Making a wreath

A master class for a beautiful wreath made in soothing, seasoned colors.

What will be required:

Compass;
Sharp scissors;
Glue gun;
A sheet of strong cardboard;
Bevechka;
Elements of decorations, here these are Easter stickers;
Ribbons - beads;
Bows.

Manufacturing:

You will need a compass to draw two even circles of different sizes so that the base for the wreath comes out ready for cutting.

Next, carefully cut it out with scissors, from the inside too. You get a cardboard base - it is worth immediately determining the size and shape of the future wreath. It is not necessary to make it traditionally round. Take an oval or a heart shape, whatever you like.

With a glue gun, we first fix the edge of the twine (you can replace it with any woolen sewing or even floss, but the latter will take a lot), then we wrap the whole circle with a thread, fitting tightly so that gaps are not visible. Secure with glue as needed.

With such dense, frequent turns, you need to wrap the entire circle. Take a calm thread color so that decor elements look more beautiful against its background.

With a glue gun we fix a tape - a bead to the finished base. You can take several tapes, then glue them together or make a pattern.

By the way, it is convenient to sew decorative elements on top of the thread base. For example, sequins or elegant buttons. Easter stickers are glued here.

Next, we fix the bows with the same glue (they can also be sewn, only carefully). For stickers, take the silhouettes of angels, symbols and springs. Let them be bright, noticeable, shiny.
By the way, you can wrap the base into several layers with a rope (thread), then the wreath will turn out to be more voluminous).

Wicker wreath

A wreath made from willow or other bendable rods can be considered the most traditional. This is exactly how the ancestors made the wreath, when there was no cardboard or glue. Wreaths were woven from flowers, so it is customary to decorate modern versions with artificial flowers. Real ones wither quickly, although some look good even when dried.

What will be required:

1. A few fresh willow twigs (you can cut from the nearest willow or buy a ready-made wicker wreath);
2. Decor elements (bird figurines, toys, artificial flowers, balls, buttons, ribbons).

How to attach decor to such a wreath? Can be glued with a glue gun or carefully sewn, grabbing the extreme twigs. Especially if you chose soft, toy decorations. They hold on more securely when sewn on.

How to change the color if you want to decorate a wreath made from willow twigs better? Spray paint in cans will do. Only it is better to use it on the street, it does not smell very pleasant and can remain on the furniture or floor. Before decorating, paint the wreath, then leave it to dry for several hours.

What else are wreaths made of?

From fabric (the base is usually cardboard, but there are soft ones, made of felt, for example);
Willow or other rods;
Wire (base, wrap with cloth or paper on top;
Braided, only rope or something similar is used. First, an ordinary braid is woven, then its edges are connected and the tails are hidden under the decor. In order for such a wreath to retain its shape, it can be hung or reinforced with an additional metal ring from the inside.

A ready-made wreath, made of artificial plants or wire, decorate it additionally with your own materials.
