DIY Easter wreath made of fabric and felt

Diameter 32 cm

You will need: green and yellow thick felt; yellow thin felt; yellow cotton fabric with white dots; patches of green cotton fabric with various patterns; 5 buttons; jewelry in the form of hares; synthetic winterizer for stuffing; yellow and white checkered ribbon; yellow organza ribbon; yellow satin cord; glue; curly scissors.

Description of work: from yellow green thick felt, cut out 1 ring 10 cm wide and 1 strip 2 x 20 cm each (loop). Fold both rings and sew the inner and outer edges with a “forward needle” seam with white floss in 3 additions; before completing the seam, fill the ring with padding polyester and insert a loop. Finish the inner and outer edges of the ring with curly scissors. From thin yellow felt, cut a strip 1 cm wide with curly scissors. Glue the strip to the ring in a zigzag pattern (see photo).

Flowers: transfer the contour of the petal to the fabric in peas 10 times and cut out the details.

Fold the petals in pairs with the front sides inward and stitch along the contour. Turn the petals inside out and gather the bases with blind stitches. Sew the petals together with strong stitches, placing them partially overlapping. From a fabric with a pattern, cut out a circle and fit a button with it (see picture); sew a button into the center of the flower.

Sew 4 more flowers in the same way.

Transfer the contour of the sheet to the fabric with a pattern 2 times and cut out; fold the pieces right sides in and topstitch along the edge, leaving a small opening. Turn the sheet inside out and sew up the opening with a blind stitch. Sew the rest of the leaves in the same way (they may be of a different size), From the remaining fabric with a pattern, cut out strips 2 cm wide, fold them in half with the wrong side inward and stitch with a seam to the edge. Glue the ends of the ribbons to the wreath, grouping them in an arbitrary way. Glue the leaves in groups on top, then glue the flowers (see photo). From different ribbons, sew a large bow and sew it at the base of the buttonhole.

You will need:

green branches;

daffodils;

Small white flowers;

Metal grid;

3. Lay these sponge pieces on the metal mesh in one row close to each other.

4. Wrap the sponge pieces in the net.

5. Close the mesh with a sponge in a ring and fasten it with wire. Thread the ends of the wire. Make sure that the distances between the sponge pieces are minimal.

6. Stick green twigs and white flowers into the prepared sponge stand. If necessary, use toothpicks.

7. Insert daffodils and buttercups. Place the wreath on a plate and place the Easter eggs decorated in various ways in the middle.

Advice

You can beautifully decorate Easter eggs by placing them in a nest woven from twigs. Prepare it a few days in advance for the holiday so that the twigs take the desired shape. Mask the ends of the wire with moss.

An Easter wreath can also be made from paper with children.
