The Day of Unity of the Peoples of Dagestan is a fairly new holiday. It was first celebrated in the Republic on September 15, 2011, and today it is an official holiday. The events to which this holiday is timed took place in 1741. Dagestan is a republic with an ancient history and rich original culture. The history of the mountain peoples is not written with a pen - it is written with daggers, sickles, horse hooves, gravestones. In the middle of the 18th century, the great Iranian commander Nadir Shah, at the head of a well-armed army of 100,000, moved to the Caucasus. He intended to pass in two huge columns through Derbent, Kaitag and the Shamkhalate of Tarkov to the capital of the Mekhtuli Khanate, Dzhengutai, on the one hand, and through Shah-Dag, Mogu-dare, Kazi-Kumukh and Khunzakh, on the other, in order to conquer the whole of Dagestan as a result. At first, the aggressive plans of Nadir Shah were carried out exactly as he planned. The huge army won one victory after another, massacring the population along the way. As a result, taking Kazi-Kumukh along the way, the Shah's troops reached the borders of Andalal. The invasion of the city began on September 12, 1741.

This is stated in the poem by Rasul Gamzatov

Host number 2.

History keeps a lot of evidence of the unity of the peoples of Dagestan, which was not prevented by internal quarrels, foreign conquerors who tried to set some Dagestan peoples against others. Economic ties were also strong - the population of the mountainous regions supplied livestock products, the flat regions of Dagestan served as a kind of breadbasket.

The Dagestan highlanders rallied more closely during periods of foreign invasions. In the face of mortal danger, the previously warring societies, having cast aside their feuds, stood together against the enemy. According to the historiographer Nadir Shah Muhammad Kazim, during the battle in Tabasaran, Avars, Dargins, Lezghins, and Laks came to the aid of the locals. The resistance of the Dagestan peoples turned into a real people's war, which ended with the defeat of the hordes of Nadir Shah.

Student:

When Timur* with countless troops

I decided to approach the mountains of the Caucasus.

Hoping with almost bare hands

We are conquered, crushed and exterminated.

To avoid unnecessary fighting

And intimidate the Caucasian tribes.

He sent us a warning:

A bag of dry, clean millet.

I wanted to say the lame god of the East,

Holding half the world in the royal hand.

That he has so many people in the army.

Like grains in a gift bag.

The messenger galloped back to the lord.

Timur looked, and his gaze faded:

Where there was millet, O great Allah.

Now goiter, fiery rooster.

And the leader realized that it was very simple

His riddle was solved:

The rooster pecked at the grain of all the millet.

Crow! Not a grain in khurjin**!

Who says that stone cliffs

Stopped wild troops?

There is a true rumor that Timur was taught

That Avar rooster from the bag.

Meanwhile, the Dagestanis, who did not want to be enslaved by a foreign shah, began to unite in the Andalal Valley - in the area of the alleged battle, in a place called Khitsib. As the folk epic of Dagestan tells, volunteers from all over the accident gathered to fight the enemy. Gidatli, Karakh, Chamalalli, Bagulyali, Koysubulin people poured into the fighting squads in masses, preparing for a heavy battle. Laks, Lezgins, Dargins, Kumyks, Tabasarans, Kubachins, Dzhar militias made their way to Andalal from the rear of the enemy.

The decisive battle in the territory of Andalal lasted five days. Experienced commanders of the mountain peoples, hardened in battles, took advantage of the weakening of the defensive strength of the Shah's troops, and led their soldiers on the offensive against the enemy. The heroism of the defenders of their native land has become a mass phenomenon. Thus began the expulsion of the Shah from Dagestan. The Andalal victory strengthened the geopolitical significance of Dagestan as an important strategic bridge between the West and the East, becoming a convincing evidence of the strength and power of the Dagestan peoples. But the memory of the heroes was forgotten for several centuries.Student :

The turning point in the history of Dagestan was 2011. In December 2010, at the III Congress of the Peoples of Dagestan, it was decided to introduce a new holiday in the republic - the Day of Unity of the Peoples of Dagestan. By decree of the President of the Republic of Dagestan of July 6, 2011, it was decided to celebrate it on September 15 - the day when the Dagestan army put the hordes of Nadir Shah to flight. The Republic of Dagestan itself was formed in 1921. It is the southernmost subject of the Russian Federation and borders on Azerbaijan, Georgia, the Chechen Republic, the Stavropol Territory and the Republic of Kalmykia. Representatives of more than 60 nationalities live in the capital of Dagestan - Makhachkala.

On September 15, 2011, for the first time we celebrated a new public holiday - the Day of Unity of the Peoples of Dagestan, which, undoubtedly became a symbol of cohesion and unity of the Dagestan people. The idea of its creation was first voiced at the III Congress of the Peoples of Dagestan, held in December last year. And in July 2011 President Dagestan Magomedsalam Magomedov signed a Decree according to which every year in Dagestan celebrates the holiday "Day of Unity"

As you know, the history of Dagestan is rich in its culture, customs and traditions. Representatives of the Dagestan peoples have made and are making a considerable contribution to the development of our country, to the history of Russia. Many natives of Dagestan - figures of science and art, education and sports, military men and entrepreneurs, doctors and statesmen - have earned a good reputation far beyond the borders of the republic. Today, many continents and continents know about Dagestan. They are known by the works of our writers, composers, by the products of Kubachi, Untsukul, Balkhar masters, Tabasaran carpet weavers, by the songs and dances of our peoples. But not only this is famous for our mountainous region. Many Dagestan poets sang in their works the friendship and brotherhood of their peoples. Despite the multilingualism, we, Dagestanis, are always united in our thoughts and actions, deeds and intentions. At the heart of this mutual understanding is patience, respect, good will of each people and strength, strength of spirit, strength of unity, strength of solidarity.

Pupil

Dagestan is inherently a unique land. We feel like Russians, part of a single, multinational and inexhaustible Russian culture, and at the same time - Dagestanis, representatives of one or another nationality, region and village. The great R. Gamzatov spoke well about this: “No matter where fate throws me, I everywhere feel like a representative of that land, those mountains, that village where I learned to saddle a horse. But everywhere I consider myself a special correspondent for my Dagestan. And I return to my Dagestan as a journalist of universal culture, as a representative of our country.”

Presenter No. 3

Dagestanis have always been able to respect the traditions and culture of other peoples. We remember well the great support that the Russian people gave us, helping to develop their culture, science and education, and industry in Dagestan. Dagestan honors their names and erects monuments in their honor. The friendship of peoples in those good times was not an empty phrase, but was embodied in concrete deeds.Undoubtedly, our unity is indestructible, and we must convey it to our grandchildren and great-grandchildren, so that they, in turn, pass on the covenant to their descendants in the name of the prosperity of our republic and the happiness of all the peoples inhabiting it.

Pupil :

As the head of the republic said, Dagestan is our common home, and we can save it only by joint efforts. It is the fundamental principle of the unity of the Dagestan peoples, the subordination of private interests to national goals and strategic objectives that is the key to the successful development of Dagestan. The unity of the peoples of Dagestan within the Russian Federation is our national idea, which must be passed on from generation to generation.

The film "Day of unity of the peoples of Dagestan"

Student:

This holiday consolidates the main cultural and historical tradition of our society - the indestructible unity and friendship of the peoples of Dagestan, and symbolizes the inviolability of the fundamental principle of the coexistence of the Dagestan peoples. And therefore it is natural that the Congress of the Peoples of Dagestan unanimously spoke in favor of the consolidation of the Dagestan society around the values of peace, unity and development.

Presenter No. 2

Dagestan was and will remain after us, but how we will leave it is a matter of time. Love for the native land and the people inhabiting it does not exist on its own, outside and separate from everyday creative work. Everyone knows that different trees do not grow from one root and a cut branch is doomed to wither. Let's hope that the tree of unity will be strengthened and bear fruit. And the upcoming national holiday - the Day of Unity of Peoples - will contribute to strengthening peace, mutual understanding and friendship of all Dagestan peoples.

Pupil

Is it for you, my epic Dagestan,

Don't pray

Is it not to love you

Is it for me in the village of your crane

To be a breakaway bird?

Dagestan, everything that people gave me,

I will share with you in honor

I am my orders and medals

I'll pin your tops.

I will dedicate ringing hymns to you

And words turned into verse

Just give me a cloak of forests

And a hat of snowy peaks!

Student:

When I, having traveled many countries,

Tired, returned home from the road,

Leaning over me, Dagestan asked:

"Isn't the distant land you fell in love with?"

I climbed the mountain from that height,

Sighing with all his chest, Dagestan answered:

"I have seen many lands, but you

Still the most loved in the world.

Pupil :

I may rarely swear in love to you,

It's not new to love, but it's not new to swear,

I silently love because I'm afraid:

A hundred times repeated word will fade.

And if you are any son of these places,

Screaming like a herald, she will swear in love,

Then your stone rocks will get tired

And listen, and echo in the distance to respond.

When you drowned in tears and blood

Your sons, who spoke little,

Went to death, and an oath of filial love

The cruel song of the dagger sounded.

Host #1:

And after, when the fighting subsided,

To you, my Dagestan, in real love

Your silent children swore

With a rattling pickaxe and a slanting ringing one.

For centuries you taught everyone and me

Work and live not noisily, but boldly,

You taught that a word is more precious than a horse,

And the highlanders do not saddle horses idle.

And yet, returning to you from strangers,

Distant capitals, and talkative and deceitful,

It's hard for me to be silent, hearing your voice

Singing streams and proud mountains."

Student

I am a watchdog of Dagestan, He only whistles
involved in his fate
I will shudder again, as from a knife wound,
And I will fly to this call of the all-powerful.

Pupil :

Its peaks, glory, letters Didn't I give bail to guard?
And henceforth with love a woman alone
He puts his hand on my head.

And having overcome in honor of their own merits
I swim through the thundering streams,
I carry watch at the entrance to the star circle,
Where the prophets speak at night.

Teacher :

The Dagestanis also united in August 1999, when armed gangs led by Basayev and Khattab entered the territory of the republic. But the invasion was the beginning of a bloody war. This is evidenced by numerous terrorist attacks directed against employees of state structures and law enforcement agencies of the republic, religious figures and the civilian population. We can only fight terrorism together. And the new holiday was intended to once again remind the Dagestanis of the glorious historical past, to breathe into them a fresh stream of patriotism and a sense of pride in their people, in their language, in their culture. As long as the people of Dagestan are united, they are not afraid of any trials, and their unity is the main historical achievement and the main wealth.

Reader 1: Dagestan

I'm here.

I'm here on these gray rocks

I twist my mustache, as it befits me.

I'm here!

Hey, Dagestan, answer me, where are you?

I'm here!

I'm in the field like a sheaf of wheat

I lie down and the sun shines above me.

I'm here!

Hey, Dagestan, where are you going?

I go into the distance with an open mind.

Although I myself am small, I want to find a big one,

And that's the point!

(R. Gamzatov).

Each person has his own cherished corner on earth, for the Dagestanis, this is, first of all, Dagestan, the love for which remains forever. We absorb this love with mother's milk and father's love, with the advice of a wise aksakal and the beauty of the mountains surrounding us.

Presenter: The citizens of our country are united by patriotism. A patriot is one who loves his Fatherland, is devoted to his people, to his Motherland. Dagestanis courageously fought during the Great Patriotic War, defending their homeland, having earned 58 high state awards, honorary titles of Heroes of the Soviet Union and Russia!

Leading: And when gangs invaded Dagestan in 1999, the Dagestan people put up strong resistance to the enemy, proving that nothing is more precious than their native land.

Reader 2:

Whenever I forget where I come from

When would the Fatherland change his,

Then the earth would become a black coffin for me,

And the sky is a black cover over it.

When I betray reliable friends,

Trembling for personal peace,

Me, like that blade in decayed

scabbard,

Rust would corrode remorse.

Whenever I, chasing easy glory,

I forgot my blood relationship with the people,

Would cover me like a death shroud

His father's curse.

(Yu. Khappalaev).

Presenter: For centuries in Dagestan, traditions were passed down from generation to generation, constantly supplemented with new details, acquiring a new sound and meaning, and at the same time remained sacred.

Leading: Friendship, kunak, for us Dagestanis is a sacred word, and the purpose and price of true friendship are well known among us.

A guest for a highlander, like a star at its zenith,

Only in the mountains, remember

You do not take weapons with you,

You will be greeted with bread and wine.

Presenter: The holy ties of friendship and kunachestvo have bound us since ancient times. No wonder they say in Dagestan: "Friend, my house is your house, our holiday is also your holiday."

From childhood in Dagestan they are taught to keep their word,

This is the dignity of the Dagestanis and their honor.

Like a dagger was a sharp word,

Like the mighty Caspian, deep,

Like a gray-haired Shalbuzdag, tall,

Pure as a sheet of heaven.

The grief of a friend could humble,

Blocked the enemy's way.

It was gentle, harsh, strict ...

How dearly they loved him.

(A. Kardash).

Leading: In Dagestan, respect for elders, respect for elders, help to fellow countrymen, love and compassion for one's neighbor are sacred.

Reader 1: We have such a law in the mountains,

There is a custom sacredly revered by all:

The wiser he seems to me,

The faster time flies.

Will the elders turn to the younger,

Do the younger ones approach the older ones,

The sun begins to warm differently

The stars pour their light in a different way.

The elder will bow low:

"Hello, father's brother!

And be happy."

Woman - mother's sister

They will call her giving way.

You will meet a horseman of the same age,

Says on the road:

"Hello, brother!"

To the girl sung in mountain songs:

"Good afternoon, little sister!" - they say.

If the elder of the younger met somewhere

In the field, on the top of the mountain,

Will say:

"Hello, brother's son!" - in response he

Or says:

"Hello sister's daughter!"

The world is huge, with many faces,

Take it with love, without difficulty

Dagestan mountains my custom,

If you want to stay healthy!

(G.-B. Bagandov).

Reader 2: My ancestors did not bequeath such books to me,

In which I would read the laws of the mountains.

But only about them comes the conversation,

I see you,

Neighbors and neighbours.

I see the heat from the hearth -

From hand to hand.

I see how the flour goes -

From hand to hand.

And with hops a wedding vessel -

From hand to hand.

And how the dead are carried

Neighbors hands.

Reader 1: The soul of the highlanders is a sword,

When the enemies come

Their soul is a carpet,

When friends come

These are the laws of our mountains,

Long known to the people.

They are not in the books
But in nature itself.

The laws of the mountains are not included in the volumes, -

And every time

The blood itself dictates.

(F. Alieva).

Leading : From time immemorial it has been so customary with us in that the supreme body of the independent jamaat was the general meeting of the villagers. He possessed all the fullness of the legislative power, the rights of the judicial and administrative bodies of rural society. Jamaat acted as a single legal entity with rights to its land.

Presenter: People with authority and personal merit were entrusted with leading the jamaat. Any dispute here was resolved jointly, in a circle of respected people.

Leading : The strength of the jamaat rested on the internal unity of its people. The main concern is the maintenance of peace and order. One of the commandments of the adat law of the jamaat says: “Only he is valuable who keeps order. The one who accepts order will have riches multiplied.

presenter : Jamaats gathered in the middle of the aul square or near the mosque. It was believed that it is here that they grow up, grow wiser, become real people, it is here that they learn the Code of Mountain Laws that existed in the old days.

Reader 2: May our hearth never go out, -

The older brother told us, saying goodbye to us.

Our hearth is intact. Light in its rays

But the pain of loss

Everything gets sharper with age.

Gone forever, squeezing the machine,

And trample death by death in the name of life,

And here he stands - a bronze soldier,

On the pedestal he serves the Fatherland again.

Books are open on his desk

In the room where I did not have time to read them,

And his life and death are all on earth

We are talking about valor and honor.

And can it turn to dust

That,

Who is the Fatherland

Protected from dust?

May our hearth never go out

And our children will not know fear.

(B. Salimov).

Reader 1: In that there is no fiction, no flattery,

That the people of the mountain side

From the ages were a sense of honor

And endowed with wisdom.

Their mountains endowed with this,

Their faith was stronger than steel

And in vain they did not throw into the wind

They are thoughtless words.

And a good deed to the end

Skillfully bring without noise

They are accustomed to.

We worked hard, sparing no effort,

I will overcome all barriers.

They cut stones, erected

Your own home on the back of the mountains.

And did not pray for help,

And relied not on "suddenly",

And hardy legs

And the skill of muscular arms.

Didn't understand our mountains deep

The one who decided

That living in the mountains is easy.

From a small stone in a hollow

To the snow hat on top -

The mountain always demands from the highlander

Tempering, and ingenuity, and kindness.

(F. Alieva). Leading: Our history, the history of Dagestan, has survived everything: there have been catastrophic destructive invasions and the forcible dismemberment of the Land of Mountains, the death of huge masses of people from the sword of foreigners, epidemics, hunger and long-term internal strife, political fragmentation.

Leading: It happened that our mountaineer ancestors were divided by belonging to different religions. There were internecine clashes between different mountain principalities and jamaats, sometimes in alliance with external forces. But our history does not know a single case of struggle, of the uprising of one mountain people against another.

Presenter: The use of discord by a historical adversary is not a new phenomenon. It was sometimes possible to push the highlanders against their neighbors, exploiting religious differences. There are known examples of the use of feudal and tribal fragmentation, local characteristics and disagreements, but there were no cases of discord on a national basis.

Leading: This phenomenon is remarkable. It distinguishes Dagestan from the general series of events of antiquity and the Middle Ages in the Caucasus. This feature of our region is not accidental. This is a thousand-year history of its development.

Presenter: History and ethnography testify to the constant cooperation of our ancestors, their continuous multilateral exchange, the accumulation and polishing of a whole set of mediation, arbitration, and ways to resolve large and small conflicts.

Leading: That is why neither civil strife, nor blood feuds, nor other "historical horrors" could divide Dagestan - a unique historical and cultural unity that existed for thousands of years, without any centralized state power.

Presenter: Our “small homeland” is based on the traditions of unity. Such a close union of different nationalities and language groups is the pride of Dagestan:

Reader 2: Whether you are Russian, Kumyk or Lezgin,

But together we, friends, are one people.

And, like the Fatherland - mothers sons,

We are forever faithful to the common cause.

(A. V. Suleimanov).

With faith in the Almighty, with an oath to the Motherland

We rise under the banner of Freedom!

We will not bow our heads to anyone!

We will not leave our land!

No to the invaders! No to foreigners!

The will of the people is to punish them!

The heart is filled with pain and anger!

Our Dagestan - and not a step back!

(K. Israpilova).

Reader 1: What is a tree when it is one?!

His

Passing flocks of birds

The gardener does not cherish

It does not bear fruit.

But harder

Than being lonely

There is nothing.

Presenter: But when the trees are together

And when

They are not called trees, but a garden,

Then the birds here lead roulades,

And the gardener leads the streams here.

Leading: And man - one - on his own -

A straw that is drawn by the breeze.

But not subject to any wind

Straws that are collected in a sheaf

Reader 2: Yes, it's bad to be alone on earth.

He is a pebble, weightless for the wind.

But a pebble is powerful when pressed,

Like other pebbles, in the rock!

Goryanka: In the country of my thousand rivers,

Countless thousands of mountains

And a hundred languages and dialects

A consonant leads a conversation.

Jigit: And the sounds of bayan, chongur -

Consent of a beautiful sound,

Here is my brother - a descendant of the "giaura",

Here is a brother - a "true" grandson.

Leading: I may rarely swear in love to you,

It's not new to love, but it's not new to swear,

I silently love, because I'm afraid:

A hundred times repeated word will fade.

Jigit: Inheritance for will and strength

My father's mountains were given to me,

I am proud, I am the heir of Russia

And the whole vast country!

Reader 1: May friendship forever strengthen our union,

We live by dignity.

No one will destroy those sacred bonds

When we are in the community, together!

Is it for you, my epic Dagestan,

Don't pray

Is it not to love you

Each housewife, each family has its own traditions of the festive New Year's table.

However, there are dishes and salads that have long been a joke, but continue to be hits and invariable attributes of any New Year's table: both modern and conservative. This, of course, salads "Olivier" and "Herring under a fur coat"- well, where without them! And complement the traditional New Year's table goose baked in the oven. A must for dessert cake, and better - "Napoleon".

However, I would like to add dishes that symbolize the upcoming 2020. According to the eastern calendar, the year of the white metal rat or mouse is coming. To attract the favor of this cute rodent, we advise you to follow his tastes in the New Year's treat, and the mouse loves flour, nuts and various cereals.

We have previously written in detail:
*
*

Here's what should be on the New Year's table in the year of the Rat:

* So, pie on the table is a must! With cabbage, meat, fish or sweet - any pie is attractive to a rodent.

* Salads can be divided into portions into tartlets.

* We recommend stuffing a baked bird (goose, duck or chicken) with rice in addition to apples and prunes, and when serving, decorate it beautifully fresh herbs and nuts.

* Considering mouse preference, don't forget salad with grated cheese or cheese slices. Lean varieties of well-cooked and thinly sliced meats can also grace the table.

* Don't forget about fruits. A vase with beautifully arranged apples, pears and grapes will please the mouse very much.

* Dishes from potatoes and carrots. The owners of cellars, who store winter stocks there, know firsthand about the love of rodents for these vegetables.

How to decorate the New Year's table for 2020:

In the design of the table opt for white, in serving - crystal and silver cutlery. The tablecloth on the table is also desirable white, because the color of the coming year is white!
